Let's re-create summer in Autumn!
Orange usually is a color that perfectly defines the beauty and life of autumn season.
Wouldn't you agree?
Yes, it is definitely a summer dress - its length, material and vibrant color are screaming summer!
Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to showcase it right away when I received it (as the weather was still warmer), due to my busy schedule and my recent out of the country vacation.
But fittingly, because of its color, I still can wear it during the "early" autumn season, with some fun twists/add-ons.
Last Saturday's weather was perfect for a photoshoot with this dress. The temperature was in the low 70s, there was a light cool breeze and the sun was out and brightly shining!
So I matched the dress with a warm wool checkered blanket scarf, leggings and pointy nude ballerinas.
**Since it's off shoulder, the scarf helped to keep my neck and shoulder warm enough not to get chills..
**I was going to wear my ankle length nude leggings but I couldn't find it at the last minute… haha (these black ones worked perfectly fine anyhow..)
**And flats are always a good idea for comfort and simplicity..
I also added a long bronze necklace to complete the look...
**I was thinking of using a chocker at first, but since the dress is plain colored, I opted to a long textured necklace to contrast its plainness.
How would I style it in summer?
I would go with just the dress (without leggings), matched with either colorful flowery print sandals, brown or black wedges, or even with plain white or nude sneakers.
And for accessories, I'll have my colorful matching tassel earrings and bracelet.
**I wish the dress was a little longer (a little above the knee is my preferred length for a short dress).. Knowing how conscious I am with my thighs, it'll be uncomfortable to wear it by itself...(that's just me.)
But if you like short dresses, then the length is perfect for you....
And since, it's a little too short, I was thinking that it'll be perfect as a beach dress as well.. It will look so cute with flowery prints bikini top with some short shorts - right?..
